Account and data deletion

You can permanently delete your Penny Wise account yourself, at any time.

How

• Sign in and open Account.
• Choose Delete account, type your account email to confirm and select Delete permanently.

What is removed

Immediately and permanently:

• Your account, name, email address, password and passkeys.
• All your transactions, categories and accounts.
• Your sessions, pending sign-in links and Quick add drafts.
• Your security log entries.

What remains

• A single log entry that an account was deleted, with no personal details.
• Copies in backups kept by the database host, until they expire under that host's own schedule.
• Emails already sent to you, which stay in your own mailbox.

Cannot sign in?

Use Forgot password on the sign-in page to regain access, then delete the account.

Deletion cannot be undone.
